Victoria and its depth of cultural experiences and attractions have been featured in the 20th edition of Cultural Tourism Victoria’s new publication – Experience Culture Victoria 2016/2017.

Over 50 guests from across the state attended the official launch of the Experience Culture Victoria guide held at the MARS Galley in Prahran.

Chair of Cultural Tourism Victoria, Kathryn Mackenzie said the bumper edition is jam packed with creative places, spaces and cultural experiences to explore throughout Melbourne and the regions and is Victoria’s most comprehensive guide to art, culture and heritage. The longevity of the guide demonstrates the key role culture and creative experiences play in shaping the visitor offering in Victoria.

“Victoria has an abundance of arts and culture and the Experience Culture Victoria publication is a go to guide to uncover the depth of creative places, spaces and experiences waiting to be explored and enjoyed.

“From tiny laneway experiences to street art, museums, galleries, theatre, major festivals, events and more, the compact nature of Victoria makes it easy to navigate by road or by rail,” said Ms Mackenzie.

The guide has been produced in collaboration with local and regional tourism boards, metropolitan and regional councils and Victoria’s galleries, museums, heritage sites, artists and craftspeople.

“Victoria’s arts, cultural and heritage scene is alive and well and this edition of the guide is a must for all Victorians wanting to navigate and discover the diverse creative and cultural experiences on offer when travelling or exploring their own backyard.”

The publication can be viewed online or contact the Executive Officer, Carrie Donaldson via email to order copies of the latest guide.
