2019 marks a significant milestone for one of regional Victoria's most loved rail experiences. The Blues Train celebrates 25 years as Australia’s longest-running blues event.
A truly unique show combining four carefully selected Australian Blues acts, a Bellarine Railway heritage train, dinner and drinks for 200 patrons running Saturday nights 10 months of the year.
Over 25 years it has become an integral part of the Queenscliff Tourism and Victorian Music Industries.
Founded by Hugo T Armstrong, the Blues Train brings together over 35 years of music industry experience, a love of stream trains, a passion for his local area, Queenscliff. Many things have changed during the 25 years, but the original concept remains true - premier blues artists, heritage steam train, fine local food and wine.
The Tesky Brothers, C W Stoneking, Dallas Frasca and Ash Grunwald are just some of the big names that started their careers ridin’ the rails. Australian Blues legends Chris Wilson, Jimi Hocking, Geoff Achison and Lloyd Spiegel are part of the Blues Train history.
The 25th Anniversary year presents a fabulous line up, don’t miss your opportunity to be apart of this rockin celebration. The Blues Train seasons run from the beginning of August until the end of May.
September dates are fully booked but you can still jump aboard for October and November. Tickets: www.thebluestrain.com.au
