The Australian Botanic Gardens (ABG) are a significant landmark on Shepparton’s outskirts. Themed gardens represent the region’s cultural, environmental, historical and agricultural characteristics. Native grassy bushland, wetlands, and a seven hectare, 30 metre-high reclaimed landfill area offers expansive views adjacent to the Goulburn and Broken Rivers.
The Gardens are always open.
Bicycles can be ridden on the lower areas around the base of Honeysuckle Rise and on the crushed brick paths through the native bushland areas.
To protect the garden and wildlife, please note the ABG has a no dog policy.
