Designed by Charles Webb, the magnificent South Melbourne Town Hall opened in 1880, accommodating a courthouse, fire brigade, post office, police station, library and council offices. It sits atop Emerald Hill, a site of great importance for the Yalukit Wilum clan of the Boon Wurrung and is of architectural, historical and social significance to the State of Victoria.
OPEN: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday
ADMISSION: FREE entry to Town Hall building.
