There is no other place in Australia like the Victorian Artists Society, for all people who love to view, learn, create and exhibit art, especially in the historical surrounds that date back to 1870.

A place of learning where the masters of tomorrow hone their skills. A public gallery that first shows the art of the future for savvy collectors. And a surprising destination that ignites a lifetime of passion in many unsuspecting visitors. Welcome to the beginning of something new.

This heritage listed building is located in East Melbourne opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral. Established by early impressionist painters, the society has a rich history in Australian art.

Open daily, with five galleries exhibiting and selling original artworks by emerging and professional Australian artists, visitors can view the ever changing exhibitions, while taking a walk in the footsteps of some of Australia’s most significant artists.
